School Bus Safety Week (October 20-24, 2025)

School Bus Safety Week, observed from October 20-24, 2025, is an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of safety in school transportation and an opportunity for schools, parents, and communities to come together and focus on the critical measures necessary to ensure the safe travel of students. 

School Bus Safety Week also emphasizes the vital role played by our school bus drivers. With approximately 3,500 BSD students being transported on school buses each day, it is crucial to prioritize safety measures to guarantee that children get to school and return home safely.
