Moose Hide Campaign Day (May 15, 2025)

Moose Hide Campaign Logo with text that reads “Moose Hide Campaign – May 15”

Moose Hide Day is recognized on May 15th, as a day of ceremony for all Canadians to come together and take a stand against violence towards women and children, in our journey to reconciliation.

The Moose Hide Campaign began as a BC-born Indigenous-led grassroots movement to engage men and boys in ending violence towards women and children. It has since grown into a nationwide movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians from local communities, First Nations, governments, schools, colleges/universities, police forces and many other organizations – all committed to taking action to end this violence.

A Moose Hide Campaign community walk and free BBQ will be held at Princess Park on Thursday, May 15th, beginning at 1:30 pm. This event promises to be a meaningful gathering where our community can come together to support this important cause and walk the path of truth and reconciliation.
