International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3, 2024)
International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is celebrated annually on December 3rd. Every year, Manitoba joins people worldwide in promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in every aspect of life, including political, social, economic, and cultural.
The theme of this day changes every year, but the goal remains the same: to empower people with disabilities and to promote their inclusion in society.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities reminds governments, organizations, and individuals to work towards creating a world where people with disabilities are treated with dignity and respect and have equal access to education, employment, and other opportunities.
