Principal Announcements – Maryland Park School & École New Era School

Brandon School Division Board of Trustees and Senior Administration are pleased to announce the following Principal Appointments: 

Jaime Lombaert has been appointed Principal of Maryland Park School effective February 1, 2025. 

Mr. Lombaert has been working in Brandon School Division for the past 23 years as a Classroom Teacher, Resource Teacher, Numeracy Specialist, Vice Principal of George Fitton School, Principal of Green Acres School, Kirkcaldy Heights School, and most recently as Principal of École New Era School. 

Mr. Lombaert’s education includes a Master of Education in Administration and a Bachelor of Education. 

Alissa Cheung has been appointed Principal of École New Era School effective February 1, 2025. 

Mrs. Cheung has been working in Brandon School Division for the past 20 years as a Classroom Teacher, Acting Principal of J.R. Reid School and Alexander School, Vice Principal of Riverheights School, and most recently as Vice Principal of Linden Lanes School. 

Mrs. Cheung’s education includes a Master of Education in Guidance & Counselling, an Education After-Degree, and a Bachelor of General Studies.
