Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month (March 2024)

The month of March 2024 has been proclaimed as "Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month" by the Honourable Ron Kostyshyn, Minister of Agriculture and Nello Altomare, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning. 

Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month was initiated in Manitoba in 2011, and has grown into a national program including all ten provincial members of the Agriculture in the Classroom – Canada. 

Agriculture literacy supports young people as they learn where our food comes from and how it is produced, which in turn promotes connection to the natural world, good citizenship, and understanding of the agriculture sector.
