No Stone Left Alone (Friday, November 3, 2023)

header

On Friday, November 3, 2023, the annual No Stone Left Alone ceremony will be held at the City of Brandon Cemetery Cenotaph (18th Street South), beginning at 10:00 am. Students from École Harrison, St. Augustine School, Riverheights School, and Brandon's Western Canada Hockey Academy will be in attendance to pay their respects to veterans and place poppies at the gravesites of about 1,200 veterans.

Participating in the No Stone Left Alone program allows students to experience Remembrance Day in a unique and authentic way.  This not only increases their knowledge of the role of Canadian soldiers played in historic World Wars, but also raises awareness of the sacrifices our military has made and continues to make today.

The Act of Remembrance
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
 Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
 At the going down of the sun and in the morning
 We will remember them.
 We will remember them.
