2023-2024 School Principal Announcements

Kurt Hunter has been appointed Principal of Vincent Massey High School, effective September 5, 2023. 

Mr. Hunter began his career with Brandon School Division in 2009 and has experience as a Classroom Teacher in Business Education, Physical Education, Computer Science, and most recently as Vice-Principal of Vincent Massey High School. 

Mr. Hunter’s education includes a Master of Education, Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of General Studies.

Brooke Williams has been appointed Acting Principal of Waverly Park School, effective September 5, 2023.

Ms. Williams began her career with the Brandon School Division in 2007, and has experience as a Classroom Teacher, Science Department Head Teacher, Continuous Improvement Coach, Advanced Placement Coordinator, and most recently as Vice-Principal at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School. 

Ms. Williams’ education includes a Master of Education in Educational Administration, a Bachelor of Education, and a Bachelor of Science. 

Jodi Smart has been appointed Principal of Riverview School, effective September 5, 2023.

Jodi Smart began her career with Brandon School Division in 2010, and has experience as a Resource Teacher, Numeracy Support Teacher, and Classroom Teacher, and most recently as Vice-Principal at École New Era School. 

Mrs. Smart’s education includes a Master of Education; Bachelor of Education; and Bachelor of Science.
