Earth Day Project - Recycled Robots

The Grade Two classes at Linden Lanes School worked hard to learn about how to care for our Earth to support their learning in science and prepare for Earth Day on Friday, April 22nd.
Throughout the week, students engaged in a variety of activities, including songs, poems, stories, and writing that enabled them to learn and share about all the gifts we receive from our planet. Many discussions took place to emphasize the importance of reducing, reusing, repurposing, and recycling.
Students collected recyclable materials and spare parts from home and brought these items to school to create a special design project. Recycled Robots were created by every student to demonstrate how unwanted objects can be used to create a work of art. The students were highly engaged and demonstrated their creativity and critical thinking skills to connect their learning about the importance of Earth Day.
Their teachers, Kim Gingras and Angeline Templeton, were very proud of their students' hard work, creativity, and commitment to their learning.
