Truth and Reconciliation Week

Our BSD Schools participated in various activities throughout the week of September 27, 2021 now known as "Truth and Reconciliation Week", including smudging, guest speakers and virtual classes through the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.  

Each day was focused on the history and impact of residential school systems, recognizing our shared history and shared future.  Schools closed out the week by creating and commemorating a symbol of reconciliation.  In addition, all BSD schools held a moment of silence at 2:15 pm on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
