National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - September 30, 2021
Dear Students, Parents, Guardians and Staff:
The Province of Manitoba has recently advised that our schools will be recognizing and observing Thursday, September 30, 2021 as National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day of observance to encourage reflection and meaningful discussions about the impacts of residential schools.
As such, all Brandon School Division Schools and facilities will be closed, and no classes will be held on that day.
As a result of the school closure on September 30, 2021, Orange Shirt Day, which has been formally recognized in our schools since 2017 to honour and remember residential school survivors, our schools will recognize Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
