Dyslexia Awareness Month (October 2026)

The month of October 2026 has been proclaimed as “Dyslexia Awareness Month” in Manitoba by the Honourable Tracy Schmidt, Minister of Education & Early Childhood Learning.

Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning is committed to working with schools and school divisions/districts to strengthen student literacy achievement through a comprehensive approach to literacy instruction to ensure all students develop the knowledge, skills, and attributes they need to reach their full potential and to live The Good Life. 

Dyslexia Awareness Month acknowledges that strengthening literacy achievement across Manitoba requires the collaborative efforts of home, school, and community to better understand and support students with dyslexia.
