Principal - Maryland Park School

Brandon School Division Senior Administration and Board of Trustees are pleased to announce that Ms. Barbara Miller has been appointed as Principal of Maryland Park School effective September 3, 2019.  She will continue in her role as Principal at King George School until June 30, 2019. 

Ms. Miller has been employed with the Brandon School Division since 1994.  During this time, she has worked as a Classroom Teacher, a Reading Recovery Teacher, a Resource & Literacy Support Teacher and most recently as Principal at Alexander School from 2007-2013 and as Principal at King George School from 2013 to present.  

Ms. Miller holds a Masters of Education – Guidance & Counselling, a Masters of Education – Administration, and a Bachelor of Education – Psychology Minor, with Honours.  Ms. Miller also holds a Level I and II Administrator's Certificate from Manitoba Education & Training.  

Ms. Miller brings to this position considerable educational experience, and is committed to developing and implementing effective school leadership skills through active participation in on-going professional learning, and believes in building healthy and strong relationships between the school and community through family engagement.
