The week of April 26 - May 2, 2026, has been proclaimed as "Week of the Early Childhood Educator" by the Honourable Tracy Schmidt, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning.  

This annual proclamation highlights the vital role Early Childhood Educators play in fostering foundational child development and learning, and in preparing our youngest citizens to reach their full potential.  It allows Manitobans the opportunity to celebrate all the dedicated individuals who have chosen careers in early learning and child care sector.
