This week, Brandon School Division joins schools and organizations across Canada in recognizing Fair Use / Fair Dealing Week (February 23–27, 2026), a time to celebrate and reflect on the importance of copyright exceptions that support education, creativity, and access to knowledge.

Fair Use and Fair Dealing allow educators, students, and creators to use copyrighted material under certain conditions without seeking permission. These provisions help foster learning, critical thinking, and innovation while respecting the rights of creators.
