Brandon School Division Board of Trustees and Senior Administration are pleased to announce the following School Administrator changes for 2023-2024 School Year:
![]() | After 35 years of dedicated service in education, Mr. Dave Lim, Principal of Meadows School, has announced his retirement, effective June 30, 2023. Mr. Lim has been employed with the Brandon School Division since 2004. During this time, he has worked as a Classroom Teacher at Betty Gibson School, Acting Principal of Earl Oxford School, Principal of King George School, and most recently as Principal of Meadows School. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and Senior Administration, we extend our appreciation to Mr. Lim for his years of dedicated service and wish him the very best in his retirement. |
![]() | After 29 years of dedicated service in education, Mr. Phil Vickers, Principal of École New Era School, has announced his retirement, effective June 30, 2023. Mr. Vickers has been employed with the Brandon School Division since 1994. During this time, he has worked as a K-8 Classroom Teacher, Principal of Betty Gibson School, and most recently as Principal of École New Era School since 2015. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and Senior Administration, we extend our appreciation to Mr. Vickers for his years of dedicated service and wish him the very best in his retirement. |
![]() | Chad Cobbe has been appointed Principal of Maryland Park School, effective September 5, 2023. Mr. Cobbe began his career with the Brandon School Division in September 1993 at Vincent Massey High School. During this time, he has worked as a Classroom Teacher, Vice Principal (Vincent Massey High School and Virden Collegiate), Principal (Harrison Middle School and École New Era School), and most recently as Principal of Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School since September 2015. Mr. Cobbe’s education includes a Master of Education Degree. ![]() | Shelley Cords has been appointed Principal of Linden Lanes School, effective September 5, 2023. Mrs. Cords began her career with Brandon School Division in 2006. During this time, she has worked as a Classroom Teacher, Principal of Alexander School and most recently as Principal of Green Acres School since 2016. Mrs. Cords’ education includes a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in Administration. ![]() | Jaime Lombaert has been appointed Principal of École New Era School, effective September 5, 2023. Mr. Lombaert began his career with Brandon School Division in 2001. During this time, he has worked as a Classroom Teacher in Grades 1-8, Resource Teacher, Numeracy Specialist, Vice Principal of George Fitton School, Principal of Green Acres School and most recently as Principal of Kirkcaldy Heights School since 2016. Mr. Lombaert’s education includes a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in Administration. ![]() | Barbara Miller has been appointed Principal of Meadows School, effective September 5, 2023. Ms. Miller began her career with the Brandon School Division in 1994. During this time, she has worked as a Classroom Teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher, Resource and Literacy Support Teacher, Principal of Alexander School, Principal of King George School and most recently as Principal of Maryland Park School since 2019. Ms. Miller’s education includes a Master of Education in Guidance and Counselling, a Master of Education in Administration, and a Bachelor of Education, Psychology Minor, with Honours. Ms. Miller also holds a Level I and II Administrator’s Certificate from Manitoba Education. ![]() | Bryce Ridgen has been appointed Principal of Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School, effective September 5, 2023. Mr. Ridgen began his career in education in 2008. During this time, he has worked as a High School Math and History Teacher, Principal of Minnedosa Collegiate and most recently as Principal of Vincent Massey High School since 2016. Mr. Ridgen’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education. ![]() | Angela Voutier has been appointed Principal of Kirkcaldy Heights School, effective September 5, 2023. Mrs. Voutier taught for 16 years in four other provinces before beginning her career with Brandon School Division in 2005. During this time, she has worked as an English Teacher at Vincent Massey High School, Principal of École O’Kelly School and most recently as Principal of Linden Lanes School since 2016. Mrs. Voutier’s education includes a Bachelor of Education, Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master of Education in Administration, and a Ph.D. ABD in Inclusive Education. ![]() | Nicole Warwaruk has been appointed Principal of Green Acres School, effective September 5, 2023. Mrs. Warwaruk began her career in Education in 1997 and has worked in Brandon School Division since 2005. During this time, she has worked in BSD as a Grade 7 Teacher, Resource Teacher, HALEP Teacher, Vice Principal of Kirkcaldy Heights School and Riverheights School, Acting Principal of Riverheights School, and most recently as Principal of Riverview School since 2018. Prior to working in Brandon School Division, Mrs. Warwaruk taught in Winnipeg, MB for eight years, teaching Grade 5-8 Physical Education, Grade 1-8 Basic French, and Grade 6. Mrs. Warwaruk’s education includes a Bachelor of Education from University of Winnipeg, a Post Baccalaureate of Education from University of Manitoba, and a Master of Education, Major Special Education from Brandon University.
