UPCOMING EVENTS & DATES 

Did you know that you can explore an apprentice trade while completing high school? Come and hear more with Ms. Mills and Highschool Apprenticeship during lunch on Wednesday in the Library. 

Hey Massey! Chinese Culture Club, along with Ms. Mills, is hosting another Spill the Tea. This time, we're discussing all about scholarships. What can you expect? It's an informative plus conversational session on how to write a scholarship application letter, which scholarships are open and when, and how to apply. But it's not just for grade 12s: Ms. Mills will also talk about volunteering and other ways to get involved and boost your scholarship chances, which would be great for a student of any grade to hear. So come on Monday, February 23 at lunch in the library for tea and snacks provided by the Chinese Culture Club. Bring a friend and show up!    

EXTRA CURRICULAR CLUBS

Do you like stories of adventure in the great outdoors? The Viking Hike Club has invited Mr. Timmons to speak about his backpacking adventure in Iceland. To learn more, join us at lunch on Tuesday, February 24th in room 15. Everyone is welcome to attend!

The Viking Chess Club will meet in Room 45 at lunch on Wednesday.  

The Astronomy Club will be in room 23 over lunch today.

SPORTS

That’s a wrap on the regular season for the hockey team. We finish in second place with a record of 24-4 and will start playoffs at home on Sunday, March 1st at 5:00 pm at the Sportsplex. Thank you to all staff and students who came out to cheer on the players last night in our 5-3 win over Roblin. Kaleb McAuley got the game winner in his final regular season game as a Viking, and Hunter Gregory earned the win. Madden Cheung and Hunter Gregory have earned the top goaltender award for our league, allowing the fewest goals against throughout the season. Congratulations fellas! See you at the rink.

Interested in joining the VM Lacrosse Team? Or trying out Lacrosse? Come on out and learn the basics, have fun, and meet new friends. Send Mrs. Tanya Smith a message on Teams to sign up, or sign up on the sheet outside the Career Centre. Must bring a helmet stick, and gloves. If you do not have the above equipment, please see Mrs. Smith in the Career Centre. Practices take place at the TC Indoor Turf on the dates below:
