Mental Illness Awareness Week, observed annually from October 6-12, 2024, is a crucial time dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of mental health issues that affect millions worldwide. This week-long initiative is a collaborative effort to educate the public, reduce stigma, and promote better mental health practices.

By prioritizing youth mental health awareness, we can cultivate a nurturing environment where young individuals feel empowered to prioritize their well-being and reach their full potential.

Supporting the positive well-being, mental health and safety of students, staff, and families is a key priority for Brandon School Division.

Visit Student Wellness & Safety Resources (bsd.ca) to access a range of resources and supports to help with student wellness and safety. If you or someone you know is in need of immediate assistance, please reach out to a parent, a teacher, or another adult you trust, or call 911.
