During a school assembly on Friday, Premier Kinew praised the Neelin team as “an amazing example of what it means to be Manitoban,” recognizing their bravery and continued care for students in the months that followed.

Accepting the award on behalf of the staff was Whitney Kreller-Lamont, who, along with her colleagues, showed exceptional courage and compassion that day.

The award presentation was attended by Education Minister Tracy Schmidt, Municipal and Northern Relations Minister Glen Simard, and Lagimodiere MLA Tyler Blashko. The event concluded with heartfelt applause as students and staff stood together—an expression of shared gratitude, healing, and strength.

Brandon School Division extends its sincere appreciation to the Neelin community for their strength, unity, and unwavering support for one another.
