Announcements

• DEBIT IS NOW AVAILABLE!!! A debit machine is now available at the school to make payments faster and more convenient. It can be used for canteen purchases and school/sport fees. Please note that the machine accepts debit and credit cards. Cash, cheque, and School Cash online payments will still be accepted!

Upcoming Events

• On Friday, February 13^th, Neelin will be going to Festival du Voyageur in Winnipeg. If you are interested in going, you can get forms from Mme Fernandez, Mme Blair, Mme Maze, Mme Oosterhuis, or M Delingoma. Forms must be returned by Thursday, February 12^th. 
• We will have the CRA here to run a SIN Clinic during lunch hour on Friday (Feb. 6), in the front hallway by the office. It is available to anyone that needs/wants to apply for a SIN number, or anyone that has any questions about taxes or needs help to file them.
• Grade 9 Open House is coming up on Wed, Feb. 11 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Sports

• High School Curling after school on Mondays (4:00 - 5:30) at the Brandon Curling Club
• The ski trip is Feb 27 and any grade 11’s and 12’s planning on going that don't have their forms in will have priority until Wednesday then the grade 10's will be able to sign up as well. We'll have a meeting for any interested grade 10s at lunch on Wednesday in the PAC.

Extra Curricular

• Cooking Class and Beading every Wednesday after school in the Suite with Mrs. Moar
• Youth In Philanthropy (YIP) meets every Tuesday at lunch
• GSA (Gender & Sexuality Alliance) meets every Friday at lunch

• The 2025/2026 yearbook is now on sale! The cost is $45 per book, and the deadline is February 28. You can order online: Online Yearbook Order, or you can bring cash/cheque (made out to Neelin High School) to Mrs. Harrison in room 24 (not during class time, please). Please note, if you are paying by cash/cheque, the money must be given to Mrs. Harrison directly so that your information can be recorded/your book can be ordered. Yearbooks will be delivered to the school in September.

Canteen

Punch cards are available for $20 (cash or cheque). See Mrs. Meek in the front office or Mrs. Lair in the canteen if you would like to purchase one.

REMINDERS

• Just a reminder that hats/toques/hoods are not to be worn in the school. Backpacks and jackets are to be kept in your locker and lockers are to be locked at all times!
• Reminder that we are a scent free school. Please refrain from using perfumes, colognes, or other highly scented products. 
• Reminder as well about the cell phone policy in place at Neelin.  No cell phones are to be seen or used by any student during instructional time (either in the classroom or in the halls), unless authorized by a teacher for educational purposes. Cell phones are allowed during class transitions, lunch, spares, and before/after school.
• Please remember that our library is a quiet space for students to work that is a no-food zone. Please work quietly and do not eat in the library.
• Reminder when purchasing food from the canteen to please return the reusable plastic baskets!
