Tabs for Wheelchairs

Dear Earl Oxford Families,

We have some exciting news! One of our own grade one students has been selected as the next recipient of a specialized electric wheelchair from the Tabs for Wheelchairs Program. Catie Devolin is set to receive her wheelchair in June 2022. Please see the write up below for more information about Catie.

Our school has decided to start collecting pop can tabs for Tabs for Wheelchairs. We will have bins set up in and outside (South Parking Lot) the school for students and families to drop off tabs to support this wonderful cause.

There are a few things to remember when bringing in tabs:

• Please remove the can from the tab! (TABS ONLY)
• TABS ONLY go into the collection bin. Please empty your container/bag of tabs directly into the drop off bin (no bags in the bin please).
• Please send tabs to school with your child once you have accumulated a reasonable amount (ex. a large Ziplock bag full) so they are not making numerous trips to the bins each week.
