Cross Country Run Club

Valleyview Grade 4-8 Cross Country Run Club 

This optional extra-curricular activity will start on Tuesday, April 21st, and is open to all students from grades 4-8.

We will run on Tuesday’s and Thursdays from 8:00am to 8:45 a.m. (April 21, 23, 28, 30^th, May 5th, 7^th and 12th The first few runs will be shorter in length, ending around 4:00pm.

Students will meet in Valleyview Gym, where they will CHECK IN, listen to the instructions, have a little stretch, and exit the school for their run.

Waivers forms: Waivers are attached must be completed, in order to participate in the Valleyview Cross County Run Club. Waivers are due back by Thursday April 23^rd .

B.S.D CROSS COUNTRY RUN DATES & LOCATION 

Race #1 - May 6th (Rain Date May 7th) Race #2 - May 13th (Rain Date May 14th)

IF one or both Race dates are cancelled, May 20th will be used. Students will be notified at school and there will be a School Messenger notification if races are cancelled.

Races start at 4:20pm The races will take place at the Riverbank Discovery Centre located at 545 Conservation Dr. just off Kirkcaldy Dr. Students need to check in with their grade group leader when they arrive. Transportation to and from the B.S.D Cross Country Race: Students and families are responsible for organizing rides to and from the Riverbank Discovery Center. Student requirement: Students should wear weather-appropriate clothing (t-shirt, shorts or sweatpants, jacket, gloves, etc.) and running shoes (no sandals, boots, flip flops, etc.). Students are not required to participate in the B.S.D Divisional Races. Students can choose if they only want to participate in our school practices. Please try and attend as many practices as possible.
