BSD Schools Support Terry Fox Foundation

For many years, our BSD Schools have been supporting the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research. By participating in the 2021 Terry’s Marathon of Hope School Run, the following schools collectively raised $6,114.85: Alexander School, Earl Oxford School, École Harrison, King George School, Kirkcaldy Heights School, Linden Lanes School, Maryland Park School, Riverheights School, Riverview School, Valleyview Centennial School, and Waverly Park School. 

“In 1980, Terry Fox set out on a mission to transform his dream of finding a cure for cancer into reality.  It takes enormous strength to conquer an obstacle this big but Terry never faltered in his determination to bring and end to this terrible disease.  We are honoured to see your family of schools bring the same strength and spirit to this fight.  In 2021, our message to schools was to “Try Like Terry” and your family of schools did just that!”
