Manitoba Remote Learning Support Centre

Remote Learning

Supporting Teachers, Students, and Families
June 1, 2021

The Manitoba Remote Learning Support Centre was established to provide a coordinated effort in addressing the goal of the Manitoba provincial remote learning strategy.  Representatives from Manitoba Education, metro, rural, and northern school divisions have come together to oversee the design and implementation of support for school leaders, teachers, students, and families.

The Manitoba Remote Learning Support Centre is guided by three leading principles:

Guiding Principle #1
Student learning and well-being are enhanced when students feel like they belong to a community in which everyone is valued, accepted, and supported.

Guiding Principle #2
Student learning and well-being are enhanced when students have a sense of efficacy in their ability to demonstrate progress and achievement in an online environment.

Guiding Principle #3
Student learning and well-being are enhanced when students feel a sense of autonomy and responsibility fostered through student voice, self-regulation, and metacognition.
