Our Journey: Celebrating Indigenous Student Success (May 29, 2024)

In collaboration with education partners from Assiniboine Community College, Brandon School Division, and Brandon University, we are pleased to advise that Our Journey: Celebrating Indigenous Student Success 2024 will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024. This annual celebration honours the educational success of our community’s Indigenous students.
Everyone Is Welcome To Attend!
When: Wednesday, May 29, 2024
- 9:30 am – Pipe Ceremony
- 10:30 am – Grand Entry
- Noon – Hot Dog BBQ Lunch
- 4:30 pm – Feast
- 5:30 pm – Grand Entry
Where: Fusion Credit Union Stage, Riverbank Discovery Centre, 545 Conservation Drive, Brandon, Manitoba
Parking: Free Parking Available
The event will take place in two parts, with a daytime and evening portion. There will be a Grand Entry at 10:30 am and a second Grand Entry at 5:30 pm. Following each Grand Entry there will be opening remarks, a Pow Wow and presentations of Métis, and Inuit dance and song to honour the educational success of Indigenous Students.
We’re looking for Dancers and Drum Groups to join us on May 29th at the Riverbank Discovery Centre for a Pow Wow!
- Drum Groups: first 10 groups registered will receive payment
- Dancer Registration: onsite 9:30 am – 10:30 am
