Graduation date: Monday, June 24th, 2019
Convocation is at the BU Healthy Living Center at 1:30 (students must be there at 12:30).
Deaf Services - Let Mr. Richards know if any of your guests will require sign language.
Banquet is at the Keystone Center Manitoba Room. Doors open at 6:00pm with supper starting at 6:45pm. Students attending the Grand March should plan to be there at 8:30pm.
Graduation Applications are due. The application must be fully completed and returned along with a photocopy of the graduate's birth certificate or other legal document and $70 payment (CASH ONLY). If a CP student learns that they are not graduating after June 4th, they will be refunded $50 from their grad application payment (if paid) but the cost of the gown rental $20, will be refunded.
Please Note: Grad applications will NOT be processed if information, documentation, signatures, and payment are not provided.
All students must submit a grad application with ID showing legal name whether they are attending convocation or not.
Grad Cap and Gown - Students with overdue or lost books must ensure this is dealt with prior to picking up their cap and gown just before grad. Also, the school has two caps and gowns that can be signed out through the library if a student wishes to take pictures prior to grad day.
Reminder to students that the gown must be returned to the Henry Champ Gym immediately following the convocation ceremony. Students keep the grad cap and honour roll stole.
Valedictorian and other Speaking Opportunities at the Convocation Ceremony and Banquet - Application package can be picked up from Ms. Wronowski in Room 116 or in the main office. Due back to Ms. Wronowski by May 3rd.
Scholarships - Applications are submitted online through Xello. See Ms. Porter for technical support. Due date: April 29th.
Scholarship Application Tutorials - On how to write an effective application will happen over lunch hours during the next 2 weeks (2 total). More details will be provided via morning announcements.
Student Surveys: (blue sheets) - Complete and return the survey to the office with your choice of grad banquet meal, nomination for teacher to toast to the grads, and grad song nomination.
Grad Video - Mr. Bumstead and Mr. Ogg need a baby picture (and a current pic only if you didn't get a grad picture). Must be submitted by May 10th (no inappropriat pictures). Pictures can be scanned at the school, submitted by e-mail, or bring them in on a memory stick.
Star blanket presentation - Ms. Playford will be sending out invites to our indigenous grads for a meeting. The students will nominate teachers then vote on a recipient of the Star Blanket that will be awarded at the Convocation ceremony.
Grad clothing - Go to the CP website - for students - CP apparel store. Once you pick your clothing you can add the 2019 signatures logo for $5 and/or your name on the sleeve for another $10.
