VINCENT MASSEY STUDENTS TOP IN CHEMISTRY CONTESTS

 

CHEM 13 NEWS EXAM sponsored by University of Waterloo, is designed for grade 12 high school students who are in their senior level Chemistry course. This year, on May 12th, Vincent Massey High School Students competed amongst 1300 of the top high school students in the United States, Canada, and other prominent international schools in the Annual University of Waterloo Chemistry Exam competition. Vincent Massey is very proud of the entire group of 24 students that represented the school, for their participation in this year's rendition of the competition. Many of the students obtained an overall score higher than the Country and World Average. 

 

One of the Vincent Massey’s student participant Jonah Jarvis was recognized for achieving top 135 position in the world ranking. Jonah received a certificate of distinction and limited edition plaque, featuring an element from the Timeline of elements poster, and celebrated his outstanding achievement. Congratulations Jonah.

 

 CANADIAN CHEMISTRY CONTEST fosters an appreciation of Chemistry, as a Career for talented young people and promotes national excellence in Chemistry at high School. Jonah Jarvis of Vincent Massey participated in Annual contest on April 19th and ranked 3rd in the Canadian Chemistry Contest for the region of Manitoba / Saskatchewan / Nunavut. Jonah also has ranked 42nd in all of Canada. Jonah received cash prize and a merit certificate.

 AVOGADRO EXAM sponsored by University of waterloo is designed for Grade 11 high school students in their first high school chemistry course. The test includes a few probing and demanding questions on some of the main topics of high school Chemistry. This year on May 19th, Antoni Klonowski of Vincent Massey competed with 3691 students from 321 schools and ranked top 200 in USA and Canada. Antoni received a certificate of distinction and limited edition plaque featuring an element from the Timeline of elements poster, and celebrated his outstanding achievement.
