In recognition of the importance of financial literacy in one's overall well-being and ability to confidently navigate financial matters in life, Minister of Education, Kelvin Goertzen has proclaimed November as Financial Literacy Month in Manitoba. This proclamation is intendent to increase awareness of the importance of supporting students in the development of these valuable life skills.
The Minister encourages everyone to access free financial literacy resource, Building Futures in Manitoba at buildingfuturesinmanitoba.com. It is made available through a partnership between Manitoba and Canadian Foundation for Economic Education.
